High-speed cameras are used for recording fast moving objects in a photographic image to a storage device. After recording, the stored images can be played back in super slow motion. The first high-speed cameras used analog photographic films to record high speed events, but today these cameras are all digital, using a charge-coupled device (CCD) or a CMOS active pixel sensor, recording typically over 1000 frames per second in DRAM and reproducing the images back slowly so that we can study the movement in detail.

3D Projection Mapping has recently emerged as a new multimedia possibility that can be used in numerous applications. You’ve certainly seen some videos, or even on the streets, the projection of stunning 3D videos displayed on buildings in various locations around the world. 3D projection has recently become one of the favorite tools for creatives and to the advertising industry.
3D Projection Mapping can be described as “any method of mapping three-dimensional points in a two-dimensional plane.” Using this technique, video artists are able to match videos that are designed to buildings and create amazing 3D effects, to make the buildings looking like they are crumbling, changing their structure and more, with creativity as only limitation! Check out some examples of what can be done using this technique:
The 2K and 4K technologies refer to the number of pixels (2000 and 4000) of horizontal resolution used in various digital formats to shoot high quality video or scanning 35mm films. These formats are larger than 1080p HD. 4K films, for example, can be used in it’s intact form to digital cinemas projections, or reduced to HD and other formats.
With the increasingly use of larger screens, and video projectors, the technology can create more detailed images, since it has a larger number of pixels that are captured. These images can even be reduced to retain a greater amount of detail.
The video technologies that are used today will have a successor even more powerful in a not very distant future. The 8K resolution, also called “Ultra High Definition”, will be able to obtain a detail level 16 times bigger than the FullHD 1080p resolution.
